Howdy pretty people! Totally meant to post this weekend, but it flew by and before I knew it it was already Wednesday and here I am trying to catch my breath! Can't believe it's March. Whew!
Anyway, we spent the weekend unpacking and nesting and Davis-bike-racing and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life, but alas the weekends are much too short when all is said and done. We did enjoy some nice weather and some reasonable progress on the new place, so we really can't complain.
Let's start with the Sunday bike race up in Washington. Quick drive to some pretty farm land and a nice, clean race.

Not too shabby for a roadside vista

My set-up: yes, I knitted while D raced. It was a win win.
|
My cute racer all finished and ready for another one!
The race was solid, Davis did quite well for his category, and we were on our way. But not before a little treat from the sky to bid us adieu.

Thank you, rainbow segment. You were lovely : )
I grabbed a couple of evening shots of our progress in the apartment, but I'll be taking some better daytime ones hopefully this weekend. For now, a glimpse into our dining area-- best part, we found this table in our storage area/attic here at the new place, so we adopted it as our dining table while we live here. It has leaves that can pull out on each side so we can seat a whole bunch of people so seriously, COME VISIT! We will feed you and all your friends.

Our baller Portland art seeing a new life as a dining focal point...we'll hang it eventually
And our cozy living room coming to life-- if the art looks crooked, it's because this crazy old house is a bit uneven ; ) We couldn't decide to level it with the slope of the couch, the ceiling, or actual level. We shot for a happy medium.

Our quirky little oasis in the city
My sweet ma sent us those wind chimes outside the window right when we moved in-- they were from our wedding and are tuned to "Amazing Grace." It makes me feel so peaceful and happy when the breeze makes them sing. The little things.
Have a wonderful rest of your week, dears. Love to you all.
